TENNANT CREEK
Quality Early Childhood Education
Kentish Early Learning Centre TENNANT CREEK (Tennant Creek Child Care Centre) is a 50-place early learning centre in the heart of the Northern Territory.
Situated in a remote town can pose challenges, but we strive to provide the best care for the children and families at our service.
This is because we believe it is the integral right of everyone to have access to quality education, no matter where they are.
We are passionate about children’s continual learning and development.
We subscribe to the principles, philosophies and outcomes contained within the Early Years Learning Framework.
In the early years, children learn best through play. Our programmes, room routines and activities are designed with these in mind.
Our Environments
Kentish Early Learning Centre TENNANT CREEK offers care for children from 6 months to pre-school age. They are grouped into three activity rooms based on age and developmental achievement:
- Activity Room 1 – Babies
- Activity Room 2 – Toddlers
- Activity Room 3 – Pre-School
We aim to provide the children in our care a safe and secure environment to explore the world around them.
Literacy and numeracy are interspersed within the programme where children’s learning is scaffolded through intentional teaching practices.
One of our key goals is to guide children to attain autonomy and independence as they learn and grow with us.
Our Community
Our community at the service is made up of a melting pot of different cultures and backgrounds, and this is reflected in the special events we choose to celebrate throughout the year.
We recognise the knowledge and experience each educator and family member brings to the Centre. With this in mind, stakeholder engagement and consultation are essential aspects of our service’s operations.
We welcome you to reach out to us to find out more about our service and look forward to being a part of your child’s learning journey.
